Technology, Architecture & Strategy
Dan discovered digital media while studying in the English
department at the University of Iowa in 1994. While simultaneously
pursuing a variety of artistic disciplines including creative writing,
music, and photography, Dan discovered that the computer allowed him
to integrate his various interests in new and interesting ways.
Under the supervision of professor Brooks Landon, he performed several
semesters of independent study in hypertext theory, exploring the
changing nature of narrative in light of emerging technologies.
His love of language also led him to pursue a minor in French,
and to begin studying computer programming.
Returning to his hometown of Chicago in 1998, Dan took a job
with Information Resources, where he honed his technical skills
and learned to manage the web development process. In 1999,
Dan formed Good Food Productions with two partners.
Dan takes great pride in serving the non-profit and
business communities in Chicago and elsewhere, and looks forward to
putting his broad base of skills to use in helping to design a better
world.
